I was one of the hostesses at our November Quilt Guild Meeting. I brought one of my family's favorite desserts. Pistachio Torte. Several ladies asked for the recipe, so here it is. Pistachio Torte 1 1/2 Sticks Butter 1 1/2 Cups Flour 3/4 Cup Chopped Pecans Mix together and press into a 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. The crust should be brown along the edges. Cool well. Mix 8 oz Cream Cheese 1 Cup Powdered Sugar 1 Cup Cool Whip and spread onto cooled crust. Beat 2 packages of instant Pistachio pudding mix with 3 Cups milk for 2 minutes and pour over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 5 minutes. Spread Cool Whip over the top and sprinkle with chopped pecans. I know some of you ladies said you could not watch a facebook video I posted about how to use pool noodles and wood dowels to sandwich your quilts. Well here is another video I found that uses the same principle, using 1 x 3 boards instead of the pool noodles.
Check it out. http://colormequilty.blogspot.com/2013/04/board-basting.html
